Peoria Weather

This is my little Peoria weather desk: a backyard Tempest station, a ChatGPT/Codex-made Python bot, and a few live embeds stitched together for quick local context.

The WeatherBot watches current conditions around Peoria, Illinois, including temperature, humidity, wind, rain, pressure changes, daily summaries, and river/flood notes when they matter. It posts updates to Bluesky at @peoriaweather.bsky.social and to Telegram.

The hardware is a Tempest weather station feeding live observations, with the bot running from a small always-on Linux machine at home. I built it partly because I like weather, partly because I like local data, and partly because it is satisfying when a tiny machine quietly does one useful thing well.
