About

I’m Jason, born and raised in Central Illinois.

Thanks to having a mom who liked to travel internationally, and a dad who liked to travel around the country, I’ve been blessed to be able to visit numerous states and numerous counties - and never without a camera in tow.

I’ve also been interested in knowing what is happening in the world around me - manifesting in multiple ways.

I went to school for journalism, combining my desire to be informed with my love of photography.

Another desire is to help others in any way I can. Previously, I volunteered and then worked for Dream Center Peoria, a homeless shelter in Downtown Peoria, remaking their website and shooting their photography.

I also volunteer with the Tazewell County Emergency Management Agency, on the radio and as a storm spotter.

In my spare time, I can be found on Amateur Radio and dabbling with ChatGPT, trying to figure out how to code to make things. I currently have a weather bot that posts to Twitter and Mastodon written in Python.
